John "Jack" Concannon (February 25, 1943 – November 28, 2005) was a college and pro football player who played professionally as a quarterback in the National Football League (NFL) with the Philadelphia Eagles, Chicago Bears, Dallas Cowboys, Green Bay Packers, and Detroit Lions. He only had one winning season and that was with the Eagles at 7 wins and 6 loses. In his career he threw 36 touchdowns, 63 interceptions for a total of 6,270 yards. So why is the Tombstone Tourist visiting the grave of such an average football player? Jack is buried at New Calvary Cemetery just south of Boston in Mattapan, Massachusetts. His final resting place can be found in Section 21, Lot 1609, Grave 1 in the second row from the back of the section near the corner.
