If you have a professional account, then Instagram lets you decide who are able to add you to group chats.

Follow these steps and you will figure out how you can do it:

1. Go to your Instagram profile tab and click on the three lines icon in the upper-right corner.
2. Hit Settings.
3. Then press on the Privacy section.
4. Scroll down until you see the Messages option and tap it.
5. Find the Group Chats section and click on Who can add you to groups.
6. Now select whether you want to allow everyone or only users you follow to add you to groups.
