"Bury Me Not in the Big City" is an adaptation of the traditional folk song "Bury Me Not on the Lone Prairie" by the newest member of the Nowhere Train, Ryan Thomas Carpenter. Just as the other American Nowhere Train member, Ian Fisher, Ryan comes from Missouri. He performed it last month around a campfire at the "Malerei am Bahnhof" in Lower Austria while taking a break from recording the new Nowhere Train album.
