(16 May 2014) The French Foreign Minister met his Chinese counterpart in Beijing on Friday as part of a celebration to mark 50 years of diplomatic relations between the two countries.
Laurent Fabius and Wang Yi toured an exhibition of ten painting masterworks displayed at China's National Museum as part of the activities to mark the 50th anniversary of their diplomatic relations.
On his four-day visit to China - his second to China this year - Fabius plans to meet with Jack Ma, co-founder of the e-commerce giant Alibaba.
He is expected to sign an agreement to promote French businesses on Alibaba's website.
He is also expected to visit Shanghai, where he will deliver a speech on climate change to college students.
He will return to Beijing on Sunday and meet Premier Li Keqiang on Monday.
