In October 2021, the Moroccan Solar Challenge took place. A challenging race for solar cars consisting of 5 stages, good for a total of 2500 kilometers with the route running through the blistering Sahara and foothills of the Atlas Mountains. Teams from universities all over the world participated in this unique challenge which took place for the very first time. The Belgian Solar Team, reigning World and European Champions managed to finish in second place with their ninth solar car, the BluePoint Atlas.
