Pleasant surprise? 😅 Here's the 12" version of "For All Time"! 🕊 This one is simple, but hopefully nice for the ears this holiday season. And you can still hear a bit of a cameo from Sparklyel (@sparklyel) towards the end and throughout the extended portions! ✨ There's also some additional bongo/conga playing provided by very talented musicians in my town at a fire/flow artist event that I was going to throughout the summer this year. 🥁🪘 More of the remaining 12" versions will be coming. Enjoy! 🖤
Get it while it's hot! 🔥 Seriously, I know some, if not most or all of these songs may get axed by "them" at any moment, so please use the download links well and share the album/songs with your friends. Love you all! 🖤

The original version of “For All Time” was leaked by American producer Eulonzo on August 29th, 2021, on Michael Jackson’s birthday. It was unknown this version existed.
Although fans are familiar with the version that appeared on the Thriller 25th Anniversary Edition, it has been revealed that “For All Time” (originally titled “That’s For All Time”) was originally written in 1982 alongside Rod Temperton, but recorded in 1986-1987 during the Bad sessions. It’s unknown what or who the exact inspiration was for the song, but it’s believed that this was made during the same time as Groove of Midnight. He began working further on this version around 1986 with Quincy Jones and Joe Kehr, with session artist Sparklyel in the studio as well, as she is heard towards the end of the song.
During the Bad sessions, Michael had been desperately looking for a more african-carribean type of sound, so at one point Joe was working on a Calypso type of drum beat with the LinnDrum machine, and Michael fell in love with it. They began working further on the song as Michael wrote the lyrics. It is rumored to be about a woman named Ashley Parsons. It’s uncertain whether or not they were considering this for the next album.
While they liked this version, they felt it was a bit weak compared to the other songs they had been doing, so it ultimately was scrapped and the origins of the song were used for “Liberian Girl”, which would be put on the Bad album. As for “For All Time”, Michael revisted the song during the Dangerous sessions in 1990 and eventually finishing it for the Thriller 25th Anniversary Edition in 2007-2008.
