North Bay Village Mayor Brent Latham delivers an update on our community's ongoing projects! The Village has made remarkable progress becoming an even more vibrant place to live.
NBV Community Center & Park Project: As the old Public Works building makes way for this visionary development, residents can already imagine the bustle of community gatherings in this soon-to-be realized space.
Waste Water Pump Station Improvements: While this project is well underway, please know Hispanola Avenue will re-open at the end of this year. While temporarily inconvenient, we promise long-term benefits for the entire community.
Treasure Island Road Improvements: The Village will be resurfacing roads on Treasure Island, resulting in smoother drives and better-looking streets for all of us. The project will focus on the following streets: Adventure Avenue, Cutlass Avenue, Hispanola Avenue, Mutiny Avenue, South Treasure Drive, West Treasure Drive, Bounty Avenue. The Village will begin construction in late Fall.
Harbor Island Restriping: Crews will be restriping East & West Drive in the coming weeks. The Village will be sending out public notices to let our Harbor Island residents know what's ahead.
Vogel Park Marine Facility: Perhaps most thrilling of all is the long-awaited kayak launch at Vogel Park, set to make a splash this Fall. This multifunctional dock will not only serve as a home for the NBVPD Marine Patrol Vessel, but will also open up a world of aquatic adventures for residents. Imagine launching your kayak right in your backyard, with the beautiful Biscayne Bay beckoning you to explore its wonders.
These projects are more than just improvements; they're a reflection of the community's spirit and its bright future. Residents can look forward to a more connected, more beautiful, and more enjoyable Village. The transformation is happening before our eyes, and it's clear that in North Bay Village, the best is yet to come!
