Making Process of Kumari Aunty Mutton head curry recipe
Ingredients
- Mutton head
- 3 Medium onions, finely chopped 250 grams
- 3 tomatoes, chopped
- 4 tablespoons oil
- 2 tablespoon ginger-garlic paste
- 1/2 teaspoon turmeric powder
- 3 tablespoon red chili powder (adjust to taste)
- 1 tablespoon coriander powder
- Salt to taste
- Water
- Fresh coriander for garnish
- Dry Coconut powder
Instructions:
1. Clean and wash the mutton head thoroughly. Cut it into smaller pieces if necessary.
2. In a large pan, heat oil over medium heat. Add chopped onions and sauté until golden brown.
3. Add ginger-garlic paste and sauté for another minute until the raw smell disappears.
4. Add chopped tomatoes and cook until they become soft and the oil starts to separate.
5. Add turmeric powder, red chili powder, coriander powder, and salt. Mix well and cook for a couple of minutes.
6. Add the cleaned mutton head pieces to the pan. Mix them with the masala and cook for about 5-7 minutes.
7. Pour enough water to cover the mutton head pieces. Cover the pan and let it simmer on low heat until the mutton head is tender and cooked through. This may take around 45 minutes to 1 hour.
8. Once the mutton head is cooked, check for seasoning and adjust if necessary. Simmer for a few more minutes until the curry reaches your desired consistency.
9. Garnish with fresh coriander leaves.
10. Serve the Kumari Aunty mutton head curry hot with steamed rice or your choice of Indian bread.
