Can I bring a rusty and seized up 65 year old Sturmey Archer 3-speed dynohub back from the dead? This Sturmey-Archer 3-speed hub is from my 1950 Raleigh "Dawn Tourist" vintage bicycle and is in need of a full rebuild. The sprocket moves but the toggle chain is completely jammed so it won't change gear.
In this video I completely disassemble the Sturmey Archer hub, degrease and remove all the rust from the components, before reassembling it and replacing broken parts - such as the toggle chain that was so rusty it snapped when I was trying to remove the wheel!
This is also the first time I've used Evaporust to remove rust from components - see for yourself how well it turned out!
I've decided to try this video as a ASMR style video without any commentary. Let me know what you think in the comments!
