Tom Scrope grew up on a small farm on the edge of the North York Moors. He trained as a Chartered Accountant, before being drawn back to agriculture and setting up the start-up Soil Benchmark in 2022.
His Nuffield study "Growing together: Exploring new ways of farmer knowledge exchange to secure stronger soils" is sponsored by the Yorkshire Agricultural Society.
