The new train connection between Bucharest’s largest train station Gara de Nord and the Otopeni (Henri Coanda) Airport became operational in mid-December 2020.
This is not only the fastest way to get to the airport by public transit, but also the cheapest. One ticket costs only 5 Lei (aprox. 1 Euro)
The trains are scheduled to run every 40 minutes, with a one-way trip taking about 20 minutes.
