There’s nothing quite like that deep red color you get with Char Siu Pork, not to mention the amazing, unmistakable flavor from the classic combination of ingredients in the sauce. If you combine the technique for making this wonderful Chinese dish with some Pork Tenderloin and some Hawaiian Rolls, the Char Siu Pork Slider is born.
Char Siu Sauce Ingredients
¼ cup Granulated Sugar
1 ½ tsp Kosher Salt
½ tsp Chinese Five Spice
¼ tsp White Pepper
½ tsp Sesame Oil
1 TBSP Shaoxing Wine
1 TBSP Soy Sauce
1 TBSP Hoisin
2 TBSP Molasses
1 TBSP Minced Garlic
Reserve 2 TBSP of sauce and mix with 2 TBSP Honey and 1 TBSP Hot Water to make glaze for pork on the grill.
