As Cleveland Mayor Frank Jackson prepares to exit his longtime role in office, he will host his final State of the City address this evening.
His final State of the City comes months after announcing in May that he was not seeking reelection.
“It wasn’t that difficult," Mayor Jackson told 3News’ Russ Mitchell about making his decision. "To be honest with you, it was more difficult the last time I ran because I also contemplated not running then. It was a more difficult decision then."
Cleveland voters will return to the ballots to decide the city's next mayor in November. The final contenders in the race are Justin Bibb and Kevin Kelley.
