Nigeria's President Tinubu Appoints Olukoyede as New EFCC Chairman
The President of Nigeria, Bola Tinubu has exercised his authority, as outlined in section 2 (3) of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (Establishment) Act, 2004, by appointing Ola Olukoyede as the new Executive Chairman of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC).
The appointment is initially for four years, subject to Senate confirmation.
This appointment follows the resignation of the suspended Executive Chairman, Abdulrasheed Bawa. Also, President Tinubu approved the appointment of Muhammad Hassan Hammajoda as the Secretary of the EFCC.
