This video is about replacing the passenger side sliding door lack actuator on a 2005 Dodge Grand Caravan. This job is fairly straight forward, however there is a need to drill an access hole in order to replace the part.
Tools I used:
Drill
Drill Bits (small, medium, and 1/2 inch)
T-15 torx (star head)
The molding does come off, but this is one instance when brute force is needed. You will be able to get it off. The top piece comes off first, then the bottom.
Once I was into the project I realized I should have also got some sound deadening material to apply. The stuff works awesome and would greatly reduce road noise that comes through these doors (I know you've noticed it, too). I will be tackling that project in the near future.
