Picture this: You’ve been looking for the perfect house for ages, and you finally find it at last - but it’s completely run down. That’s what happened to Susanne and Octavio Schroeder, a German couple. They bought a 170-year-old thatched-roof house in Germany's northern most region, near the border to Denmark. The problem was that it was falling apart and hadn’t been renovated in decades. But that didn’t scare them off. Together with Danish architect Jan Henrik Jansen, they made and executed a thorough remodeling plan of the house, including the interior. The result is the home of their dreams.
