Judith Joseph, MD, MBA, at the NYU Langone Child Study Center interviews Dr. Philip Shaw, MD, PhD, a leading Investigator at the National Human Genome Research Institute. Dr. Shaw is a leading researcher in the field of brain imaging and child psychiatry. His research interests focus largely on ADHD, one of the most common and heritable childhood mental health problems. The goal of his research is to better understand the clinical course of ADHD and he uses brain imaging as one of the tools to better understand the course of ADHD over time. During his grand rounds at the Child Study Center, Dr. Shaw talked about how different patterns in brain development in adolescence and adulthood drives different clinical outcomes.
