My girlfriend organized a party for me, but i found out it was for another reason
On my birthday, my girlfriend, Sofía, surprised me with an incredible party. There were decorations, music, and even my favorite cake. I felt special, but something didn’t add up: some of the guests were people I barely knew, and some of my close friends weren’t there.
During the party, I noticed Sofía was more focused on her phone than on me. At first, I thought it was because of all the planning, but then I saw how her messages were longer than usual. I discreetly followed her and overheard her talking on the phone. She mentioned something about “everything will be fine after tonight.”
My heart started to race. What was she planning? When I confronted one of her friends, they confessed that the party wasn’t just for me: it was a way for her to apologize to a guy she had stood up months ago.
That night, instead of feeling like the center of her world, I realized I was being used as part of a plan. Should I stay with someone who prefers to avoid conflict rather than being honest with me?
