As an ally and partner of the United States, Australia will need to do its part in coming to Taiwan’s aid if China reclaims the self-governing island by force, according to Sky News host Erin Molan.
After three days of military drills on Taiwan’s doorstep, Chinese President Xi Jinping said his nation must prepare for “real combat”.
“If anything, Xi Jinping's latest comments are a reminder of exactly why AUKUS matters and why it was exactly the right move both by the former government and the current,” she said.
