Biggest National Flag S.Muniswamy, Kolar District who has been travelling across the district with a wheel tied to his leg after being elected as an MP from Kolar district, has once again made Kolar district look up to the national level and has entered the name of Kolar in the Limca Book of Records. The people of Kolar are thrilled to be supported by the Indian Air Force and offered floral tributes from the helicopter.

Earlier at 7 am, the flag hoisting ceremony was held for the first time on clock tower in the sensitive area of the city and another record has been created. In the morning, as per the wishes of MP Muniswamy, the Deputy Commissioner and SP hoisted the flag with the help of a crane. Thousands of school children, including MP Muniswamy, MLAs, MLCs, and DC Venkat Raja, participated in maidhana holding the Minister Munirathna, who hoisted the flag, watched the parade and accepted the salute.
Later, under the leadership of MP Muniswami, the country's largest Indian flag of 1 lakh 30 thousand square meters was displayed, 630 feet long, 205 feet wide, weighing 3 tons, held in four parts of the ground by hundreds of volunteers who walked around the ground and displayed the country's largest Indian flag, from an air force helicopter on the huge flag. Another special thing was to lay two flowers. MP Muniswami expressed his gratitude to all those who have worked hard for the last 8 days to make the biggest flag of the country, and from the display of the huge flag, Kolar's flag has been added to the page of Limca's record
