There are certain aspects of life that are simply inevitable. We will experience the joys, sorrows, wounds, and brevity of this life. This is simply too much for any of us to walk through without the faithful God carrying us through it all. In Genesis 35:16-29, we see Jacob experience all four of these situations, and all the while we witness God faithfully carrying him along. Thanks be to God for His steadfast love! “As a father shows compassion to his children, so the LORD shows compassion to those who fear Him. For He knows our frame; He remembers that we are dust” (Psalm 103:13-14).
