West Bengal Bandh News: Kolkata Police Lathi-Charge Protesters In Hooghly | People VS Mamata
The BJP has called a 12-hour shutdown in West Bengal to protest against the police action against demonstrators and protesters during Nabanna Abhijan march to the state secretariat, demanding the resignation of CM Mamata Banerjee over the rape and murder of a young doctor at RG Kar hospital.
Several protesters were injured after police launched a lathi charge to disperse the crowd that was gathered at a railway station in West Bengal's Hooghly to protest during the Bengal bandh.
