A little bit more about this trip:

The idea of travelling to South Dakota to look at the night sky was one that was only playfully tossed around since its inception. It would be the ultimate place to see the night sky in all its beauty. Although, ever since The Lost Convoy went to Saint Croix, they had been obsessed with travelling to different places.

Their circumstances had been complicated due to the split after graduation. Travelling together had become almost instantly impossible due to their distance. Yet, that idea of taking a road trip to South Dakota remained kindled in the back of their minds.

Throughout the next year, they remained in infrequent contact, discussing travel plans in case the possibility to travel again fantastically arose. Sure enough, after much consultation, they carved out a mere three days during the month of July, during which everyone was available, to go on an epic trip. The fantasy expedition had finally manifested.
