Hee Bermiok is a small town in West Sikkim in India. It is known for its mountain biking, nature walks, hiking, excursions, and the traditions and customs of the Limboo, Sherpa, Bhutia, Lepcha, and Nepalis. Martam is a small village located in west Sikkim near to Bermiok Bazar.
Dentam is a scenic village located 10 km from Varsey in West Sikkim District. It lies at an elevation of around 1,500 m. Dentam commands a constant view of the Kanchenjunga. The entire area is surrounded by forest of rhododendrons. The village is an ideal spot for bird watchers and nature lovers. Trekking and mountaineering are arranged here.
Uttarey is a small village close to Nepal border in West Sikkim. Uttarey is popular among tourists for the serene environment of the place and many tourist attractions in and around. From the higher ridges of the Uttarey hills, view of the great mountain of Kanchenjunga can be seen. Situated in the west district of Sikkim, you can reach Uttarey from Pelling or Dentum. On your way you will pass Singshore bridge, said to be the second highest bridge in Asia. The altitude of Uttarey is about 6600ft. Uttarey is famous for its tranquility and natural beauty. The place provides a beautiful view to the Himalayan mountains and is yet relatively less traveled by tourists. This allows a more serene atmosphere to be enjoyed. During winter the mountains around here are covered with snow allowing heavenly views.
How to go?
Reach NJP Railway station then from NJP or Siliguri to Jorethang (82 KM) by car, after that change the car from Jorethang to Kaluk (34 KM). Remember big car not allowed from Jorethang to Kaluk. From Kaluk one can visit these places or from pelling one can visit these places
