La pose d'un sol stratifié ne doit pas être une corvée. Si vous vous y préparez correctement, c'est un véritable jeu d'enfant. Avant de commencer, préparez le matériel nécessaire : un cutter, une fausse équerre, une calculatrice, un mètre, une scie sauteuse et un crayon. Vous aurez également besoin de cales de séparation, d'un marteau, d'une cale de frappe et d'un tire-lame.
Tout d'abord, commencez par mesurer la pièce. Cela vous permettra de limiter les chutes et de ne pas terminer la pose avec une planche de deux centimètres de large. Il est préférable de ne pas utiliser les murs comme guides, car ils ne sont pas toujours parfaitement droits. Il est également conseillé de ne pas placer la première rangée de lames contre le mur, mais de vous en écarter. Lorsque vous avez assemblé plus ou moins trois rangées, vous pouvez commencer à travailler en direction du mur.
Pour connaître le nombre exact de lames complètes dont vous aurez besoin pour votre pièce, divisez la largeur de la pièce par la largeur des lames. Pensez qu'il vaut mieux terminer avec une même largeur de part et d'autre du sol. Mesurez la surface que vous pouvez couvrir avec des lames complètes.
Astuce de pro : Marquez les points de repère sur le mur. Vous pourrez ainsi vous y reporter pendant toute la durée de la pose.
Ouvrez à présent les emballages de votre nouveau sol stratifié. Veillez à couper l'emballage latéralement afin de ne pas endommager les lames. Parcourez tout le mode d'emploi, tout en vous laissant une marge de manœuvre pour travailler.
Astuce de pro : Généralement, la pose d'un revêtement de sol commence dans un coin ou contre un mur. Il est toutefois plus facile et plus efficace de commencer la pose à l'écart du mur. Cela vous permet également de commencer avec des lames complètes. Le point de repère que vous avez marqué sur le mur vous indique la limite de pose des lames complètes. À partir de ce point, commencez à poser quelques rangées de lames. Utilisez la scie sauteuse pour couper les lames à la longueur appropriée.
Que faire si le mur au niveau de la dernière lame n'est pas d'équerre ? Vous pouvez facilement résoudre ce problème avec la fausse équerre. Mesurez l'angle, reportez-le sur une lame de stratifié et sciez celle-ci en suivant le trait que vous venez de tracer. Disposez les cales de séparation (les petits blocs noirs) contre le mur pour permettre la dilatation et la rétraction du sol stratifié sous l'influence du niveau d'humidité ambiante.
Astuce de pro : Placez les cales de séparation à l'endroit où les lames de stratifié se clipsent l'une dans l'autre de manière à encore mieux maintenir le tout en place.
La pose des lames de stratifié est un jeu d'enfant. Pour clipser les lames, il vous suffit de les emboîter en les inclinant légèrement, puis de les rabaisser en les clipsant. Les sols stratifiés Quick-Step peuvent être clipsés à plat ou horizontalement. Cela se révèle très pratique pour les angles qui ne sont pas droits ou pour poser la dernière lame. Après avoir posé quelques lames, vous pouvez travailler assis sur votre nouveau revêtement de sol. Vous pouvez ainsi mieux contrôler la pose.
Astuce de pro : Commencez la nouvelle rangée de lames avec les chutes de la rangée précédente. De cette manière, vos lames seront légèrement décalées les unes par rapport aux autres, plutôt qu’alignées. Gardez également à l'esprit que l'espace entre les deux joints de lames adjacentes doit être d'au moins 30 centimètres.
Après avoir posé trois rangées, c'est le moment de scier aux dimensions requises la lame qui sera posée contre le mur. Tout d'abord, terminez la pose de la sous-couche et posez une nouvelle lame par-dessus la dernière lame complète de votre sol. Utilisez une chute pour tracer la ligne de coupe sur la lame en question, cela vous évitera de devoir tout remesurer. Partez d'un coin, puis faites glisser la chute le long du mur pour reporter la largeur requise. Clipsez la dernière rangée de lames, tirez fermement avec le tire-lame, puis installez les cales de séparation.
Astuce de pro : Vous rencontrez des difficultés pour scier les lames ? Placez la ligne de coupe aussi près de la table que possible (sans bien évidemment scier la table). Veillez également à soutenir la future chute. Commencez à scier avant que la lame ne soit en contact avec le bois, et utilisez une scie à fines dents.
