Hehe! First time shooting video in many many years since I just got a new computer that makes editing a bit faster. I haven't touched a NLE for more than 10 years! This is just a tryout for fun and I'm not going for anything fancy.

Today's learning point was finding out that many cosprayers are afraid of being caught on video! They ran away when I said I wanted to take a video of them! I think it is because they think it is harder to correct bad skin in video compared to photos! Actually it is! He! He! He!

Other learning points

1. Fuji X-series AF-C is too slow for video work and keeps hunting as you move around. Not good for sweep-ins. Much better to set f8 and zone focus and hope everything stays in focal range.

2. Gimbals are hard to use! For some reason everytime I complete a move it rolls in a perpendicular direction and I can't correct for that since it's totally unexpected. I'd expect the countermovement to go against my stroke and not perpendicular to it.
Most of the time I was fighting against the gimbal and that's why so much of the video subject is off-center.
