Watertrek360 documents severe damage to the Coral Reefs at Jardines de la Reina in Cuba. This perennially pristine site is in peril, as are many of the reefs in the Caribbean. Extended elevated water temperatures, have had major impact on hard corals, soft corals, and other marine life at this site generally considered one of the healthiest in the Caribbean. This is an attempt to document some of that damage, with video from over 18 different reefs. Bleached, diseased, dead hard corals, impacted soft corals, sea fans, gorgonians, increased algae, lower fish counts are some of the results. Underwater video taken with iPhone 14 Pro.
