WKBW-Channel 7 News coverage of Idle No More Round Dance flash mob at Boulevard Mall in Amherst, NY on Sunday January 6th 2013.
On behalf of the Idle No More movement, Native people and allies in Western New York came together in solidarity to support the Idle No More movement, Chief Theresa Spence's fight for survival through her hunger strike and the demonstration of our existence and continuation as Onkwehowe nations.
This was done through a flash mob community gathering that consisted of an open round dance, women's dance, and smoke dance. Nya:weh to all who came, our singers and drummers, to all supporters of #idlenomore, to our elders, youth and women, allies, and all those fighting for Indigenous rights, treaty rights, and our future as Indigenous nations.
