Un’ondata di eccezionale maltempo sta colpendo l’Ardèche, regione francese ora in stato di vigilanza rossa per piogge e inondazioni. Météo-France ha segnalato accumuli di pioggia senza precedenti: nelle ultime 24 ore sono stati registrati fino a 523 mm a Loubaresse, 508 mm a Mayres e 450 mm a Barnas, numeri che superano di gran lunga le previsioni iniziali.
Sei i dipartimenti in allerta rossa, il massimo grado di attenzione: l’Alta Loira, l’Ardèche, il Rodano, la Loira, la Lozère e le Alpi Marittime. Il Ministro della Transizione ecologica, Agnès Pannier-Runacher, ha annunciato per oggi pomeriggio l’apertura di una cellula di crisi nel suo Ministero con la presenza dei responsabili di tutti i servizi competenti. Il Ministro ha colto l’occasione per invitare tutti “gli abitanti dei dipartimenti coinvolti alla massima prudenza”.
L’evento ha causato notevoli disagi, con strade interrotte, campeggi evacuati tramite elicotteri e numerosi interventi dei vigili del fuoco. Fortunatamente, non si segnalano feriti, ma la prefettura ha emesso diversi avvisi tramite il sistema FR-Alert, invitando i cittadini a restare al sicuro e ad evitare spostamenti non necessari.
