Scores of people waited at Russia’s border crossing with Georgia Tuesday, amid an exodus sparked by President Vladimir Putin's announcement of a partial mobilization of reservists to fight in Ukraine.

MORE: Men seeking to avoid the call-up continue to flee Russia by land and air into neighboring countries.

According to people in the crowd, long queues to the crossing on the Russian side have built up.

"There is a hell there," said fleeing Moscow resident Vsevlod.

"There is a huge number of people, crowds with children, elderly people," he continued.

Some people have ridden on bicycles or walked several kilometers.
