Spring is an exciting time in the vineyard. The grapevines start to develop their full canopy and transform the dramatic winter landscape into spectacular view. Moving into the cycle of the grapevine life, the plants go through a stage we call flowering. Flowering or blooming is the stage where the pollination and fertilization of the grape vine takes place,to develop the grape berries.
Spring is a very active time in the vineyards and activities such as shoot thinning, leaf removal, topping and preventative sprays against fungal diseases take place. The viticultural team is working well to ensure the best of the vines and the fruit, preparing them for the ripening period.

Άνοιξη στον αμπελώνα - Η άνοιξη ειναι μία απο τις πιο όμορφες εποχές σε ένα αμπελώνα. Τα πρέμνα έχουν φτάσει στο στάδιο της πλήρους βλάστησης και έχουν μετατρέψει το "άχαρο" τοπίο του χειμώνα σε μια καταπληκτική θέα. Καθώς περνάνε οι μέρες και τα πρέμνα συνεχίζουν την ανάπτυξη τους, τα φυτά διέρχονται απο το στάδιο της άνθησης. Κατα την άνθηση πραγματοποιείται η επικονίαση και η γονιμοποίηση των ανθέων και στην συνέχεια η ανάπτυξη των ραγών.
Η άνοιξη είναι μια δραστήρια περίοδος στον αμπελώνα και πραγματοποιούνται εργασίες όπως το βλαστολόγημα, η αποφύλλωση, το κορυφολόγημα και η φυτοπροστασία. Η αμπελουργική μας ομάδα εργάζεται εντατικά ώστε να προετοιμάσει τα πρέμνα και τα σταφύλια για την περίοδο της ωρίμανσης.
