Starting January 2, conforming loan limits will be increasing throughout the country. As home prices have continued to rise, the government saw fit to increase what we could borrow for our mortgages. An increase in conforming loan limits means that we can take out bigger loans. This is great news for not only homebuyers using conventional or VA loans, but FHA loans as well.
