Construction in Wangaratta is progressing and we’re starting to see key features of the precinct design take shape.
We heard safety, accessibility and connectivity are important to the Wangaratta community and we’ve incorporated this feedback into the design.
This includes:
- Installing a pedestrian underpass which is light, bright and safe with clear lines of sight from each end
- Providing improved access across the station precinct with stairs and DDA (Disability Discrimination Act) compliant ramps and lifts
- Restoring connectivity between the station and Norton Street by removing “The Dive” and creating community spaces
- Providing additional car parks and an 18-metre kiss and ride facility.
