The "Chopin and His Musical Paris" concert series featuring pianist / composer Tomasz Kamieniak was sponsored by the Polish Franz Liszt Society. The concerts took place at Oborniki Śląskie, Trzebnica, Brzeg, and Wrocław in December 2021.
Tomasz Kamieniak is a pianist and composer based in Berlin. A graduate of the Karol Szymanowski Academy of Music in Katowice in the piano class of Professor Joanna Domańska, he further developed his playing with Professor Rolf-Dieter Arens at the University of Music in Weimar, Konstantin Scherbakov, Professor Zbigniew Raubo, and Leslie Howard. Tomasz was awarded Special Prize at the 4th International Franz Liszt Piano Competition in Weimar. He recorded piano works by Józef Wieniawski as the winner of the Grand Prix at the 4th Competition “Forgotten Polish Music” organized by Acte Préalable. Kamieniak is a scholarship recipient from the Marshall’s Office in Katowice and the Wagner Society in Bayreuth. He has performed concertos by Liszt, Wieniawski, Górecki, Glass, Kilar with various orchestras, and his solo performances have taken him to Levoca, Kiev, Weimar, London, Bayreuth, Kielce, Katowice, Bielsko-Biała, and Zakopane.
