CS-Cart Multi-Vendor marketplace platform [ Ссылка ] is integrated with 8 major shipping companies and more carriers can be added with 3rd party add-ons.
To set up a shipping method, go to Administration - Shipping methods. In the demo, there are 4 pre-configured shipping methods but you can create one from scratch by clicking the Plus button.
Let’s see how you can configure shipping methods by tweaking the Custom shipping method.
On the General tab, name the method, write a description, upload an icon and complete other fields.
And here’s the main switch. It defines whether the rate calculation is done manually or in real time. If you set the real time rate calculation, then you’ll need to choose the shipping service. The rates will be requested from the service depending on the order data when a customer proceeds to checkout. There are 8 available shipping services by default. Let’s choose DHL and a suitable shipping option. Okay.
Switch to the Configure tab. Here you will see the carrier properties that you need to fill in. To complete the setup, you need an account in the shipping service you are setting up. Once you have the credentials, enter them here and fill other fields.
Check out the shipping charges tab. The rates that you define here are used to calculate the shipping cost, regardless of whether you use real-time shipping rate calculation or not. If you receive rates from a shipping service provider in real time, the charges from this section will be simply added to the received rates. You can use this to compensate for your actual expenses if they exceed the values returned by the carrier.
Once you’ve done with setting up the shipping method, click Save.
