Transforming urban spaces under AMRUT

The Atal Mission for Rejuvenation and Urban Transformation (AMRUT) is a flagship program launched by the Government of India. The scheme aims to transform and improve the infrastructure and living conditions of people in urban areas nationwide. Its primary focus is providing essential services and amenities to urban citizens and ensuring sustainable urban development.

AMRUT focuses on providing essential infrastructure services such as water supply, sewerage, stormwater drainage, transportation, and green spaces in urban areas.

The MEIL also contributes to urban transformation by developing power, drinking water and sewage treatment plants in bustling cities. It directly participates in implementing the AMRUT scheme by executing drinking water projects in Nalgonda, Mancheryal, Chilakluripeta, Kadapa, Proddatur and other parts of Telangana and Andhra Pradesh.
