Antonio Sanchez was mocked and insulted by his co-workers and supervisor for behaving effeminately. He complained to his supervisor but did not follow corporate policy by reporting the harassment to the EEO officer or area manager. He was eventually fired for leaving work after an argument with an assistant manager. Sanchez filed a sexual harassment and retaliation claim but was initially denied by the district court.
