How to create an easy and beautiful semi-circle pattern for macrame projects! Please see below for materials and written instructions:
Hi everyone! In today's DIY tutorial, I will be showing how to make a semi-circle pattern using half hitch knots. The resulting design makes a knit-like pattern. This pattern can be used to start your macrame wall hangings, or as added layers. This is a very beginner friendly pattern for all skill levels.
🧵 ROPE USED:
- Crafteza 6mm: [ Ссылка ]
Set Up: Cut 1 piece of rope 5ft long. Fold this rope in half so that the side on the left is 1ft long, and the right side is 4ft long. Attach the rope to your dowel rod with a Lark's Head Knot.
Step 1: Take the longer half on the right and tie one Half Hitch Knot. Do this by crossing the right rope over the left to form a loop, twist it around the left rope, and bring it up through the loop. Pull it tight.
Step 2: Repeat this until you have reached the desired length.
Step 3: Attach the shorter rope (left side) to the dowel rod using a Lark's Head Knot. Do this by sending the rope over the dowel rod. Bring it to the right of the rope, forward, and cross it back over the rope to the left. Then bring the rope behind the dowel rod, up and over, and send it behind the rope. Pull it tight.
Step 4: Use the longer (right) rope and tie one more half hitch knot around the left cord.
You can end this design by either leaving the cords as is, tie them in a fun design, or tuck them in the back by weaving the ends through the knot.
