Whilst looking for obvious signs of rust and corrosion on the inner wheel arch/footwell I noticed there was a lot of mud and debris behind the plastic trim so decided to investigate... The passenger/nearside had similar corrosion but no holes so was just cleaned up/rust treated then painted etc however the drivers/offside has holes we will have to be fixed properly but the car is 20 years old so things like this are to be expected.
