The Global Journalism, News Production Workshop, at Sheffield University. Masters students learned how to shoot, edit and produce a television news story on an iPad. The nine day workshop, conducted by Dean Cummings, taught students the fundamentals of videotaping a news story, writing to a particular audience, and produce an entire news story using an iPad ap (Pinnacle Studios). The goal of the workshop was to give the students the experience of creating a news story (they never produced a story before) and to demonstrate the ability of the MMJ (mulit-media journalist) to construct a story quickly and efficiently.
