The fella who thinks that Unleaded petrol will destroy his engine reminds me of the people who espouse the fallacy that E10 fuel will literally melt the fuel lines and corrode the engine.
Of course, these same people will happily put this evil "ethanol" stuff straight into their bodies come Saturday night without a care in the world. Literally liquefies your car's engine, apparently - but perfectly fine to pop down your sensitive inner organs to get drunk off of...
