We recently stayed at Portrait Roma in Rome, Italy and dear god is this place nice.

We've stayed at this Ferragamo hotel multiple times (and got married here 3 years ago) and the hotel is still one of the best. The rooftop is stunning.

There is a reason why its the highest rated hotel in Rome. There are other hotels in Rome that are supposed to be nice (the new Fendi hotel, Hasslar, etc) but for me, I wouldn't consider staying anywhere else.
