"If it 'aint broke, don't fix it!" Says the phrase. And whoever came up with turning the hard shoulder (emergency lane) on Britain's motorways (highways) into an extra lane, will have the death of dozens of people on their hands, who had broken down and had nowhere else to go, only to be killed by speeding motorists using lanes (then) switched to be 'not' for emergencies anymore in the last five years. Not smart at all. Critics warned this could happen and the 38 deaths will have repercussions for the thousands of family and friends that are left behind to pick up the pieces of this dangerous trial, that has failed in tragedy.
