In this video, we talk about an HVAC technician career, and whether being an HVAC technician is really worth it.
The answer is actually yes...and no. Let me explain why.
Going to HVAC school, becoming an HVAC apprentice, and enduring many grueling hours of HVAC training can definitely be draining, but when you come out making an HVAC technician salary of $20-plus per hour, then for many people it is worth it.

In an HVAC job, you are going to sweat ALOT, have nails ready to poke your head and back, and have to deal with long hours, but if you can get past the early HVAC apprenticeship pay, which may not be ideal, you can eventually make a healthy income.
There are many people, especially here in SW Florida, who pursue HVAC careers, and if you are looking for a career where you will always have HVAC jobs (again especially here in Florida), then learning the HVAC trade might be a great opportunity.
And of course, if you go through HVAC technician training, learn the business, increase your HVAC pay rates, and make a good name for yourself, you can eventually become a contractor and potentially make a 6-figure salary.
