The Wedding of Kiran & Parm, Oct 2011
Kiran and Parm got married on a beautiful sunny day last October. It was a traditional Sikh wedding and I filmed two days of the festivities. It started with the ladies sangeet/mehndi/maiya (whatever you prefer to call it!). Indian weddings are know for their abundance of colour, activity, traditions and dancing and this wedding was no different. With so much material to film my creative mind was exploding with all the amazing things going on around me. I only hope I managed to capture the vibrancy of the wedding.
I filmed using my Canon 7D and a variety of lenses including 17-55; 50 1.8; 85 1.4; 10-22 3.5. Since it was just me filming I tried to limit my equipment to a minimum. I used my tripod, monopod, LED lighting and my glidetrack; proving that you don't need loads of fancy equipment, you just have to be willing to get stuck in and run around a lot!
