The governor of Poland's coal-heavy Silesia region, who is from the Law and Justice party which governs Poland nationally, says the war in Ukraine should not cause the EU to backtrack on its climate goals as some have suggested.

He also says that he suspects this week's Russian missile attack, in which Ukraine's defence missiles appear to have accidentally landed in Polish territory killing two civilians, was likely intended to disconnect Ukraine from its electricity connections with Poland.
