Deputy president William Ruto is now seeking exception to be allowed not to be physically present at the international criminal court for the duration of his trial... Ruto, whose trial is set to begin on may 9th, attributes his new request to the fact that his current obligation and responsibilities as the deputy head of state would be best discharged should the court grant him his request to waiver the right to continuously appear before the court and as Jacky Maribe reports, the deputy president is also seeking to have the court use video links should they require him to be present, as an alternative measure.
