Were you injured on the job in South Carolina and have questions about what types of benefits you can receive for your injuries?
In South Carolina, a worker can receive a lot of different types of compensation. You can get all of your medical bills paid for by your employer's insurance company. That can take a huge burden off of you, because we whenever you're hurt, the last thing that you need to think about doing is paying for your medical bills.
You can get temporary total disability checks, which are sixty-six and two thirds percent of your average weekly wage. That is another huge benefit, because obviously, if you broke your arm, if you broke your leg, if your back is messed up, you can't work you need to be getting some sort of compensation.
Now, South Carolina law has said that, hey, you're not working, so you're not going to get your full wage, but you're going to get sixty-six and two thirds, which I can assure you is a lot better than nothing whenever you're laid up and not able to work.
In addition to that, and usually the largest part of your claim is any sort of permanent impairment that you have in your case, you will get compensated for that. There are regulations that say if it's a back, it's 300 weeks, if it's an arm, it's 195 weeks. And that gets calculated with your temporary total disability check into times by the amount of permit impairment that you have.
It's a complicated formula, and you need a lawyer like me to make sure that you get all of these benefits and you get the highest permanent impairment rating from your claim, because even though you're issued a certain permanent impairment rating, I can always get you a higher rating. So hire me to make sure you get the maximum for your claim.
