When it comes to Veterans' disability benefits, one of the most important pieces of evidence is your medical records. Your medical records can help prove not only that you have a service-connected disability, but also how severe that disability is.
However, getting your hands on those records can be tricky. The Department of Veterans Affairs (VA) is notoriously slow in processing requests for medical records, and often loses or misplaces records altogether.
One way to get around this is to hedge your bets and submit multiple forms of medical evidence. This way, even if the VA does lose your records, you'll still have other evidence to fall back on.
