Okay, so this is one of the most common misconceptions that I see almost every day. Even Google doesn't give you the right answer to this. The well-known supermassive black hole TON 618 is NOT larger or more massive than our Milky Way galaxy. TON 618 has an estimated mass of around ~50 billion times that of our Sun, while the Milky Way is estimated to have a total mass of between 1-2 trillion times that of our Sun. So the Milky Way is actually likely about 20-40 times more massive than TON 618.

Note: Some recent estimates put the Milky Way at a mass of around 200 billion times that of the Sun, but a. this is still many times more massive than TON 618 and b. Personally, I feel that this is a really low estimate and that there are at least about 1 trillion solar masses in our galaxy, typical for a galaxy like ours. Also, there is a lot of stuff we can't see in our own galaxy because it's obscured from our point of view.
